We (Solar Idea) are a diverse team of industry leaders who have gotten together to do something different and meaningful with our lives.

What we chose to do was tackle one of the biggest, most important challenges our country-and the world – faces, “power shortages”. Utilities (State Owned Electricity companies) in this country have barely changed in a century and something needed to be done about our energy problems and the environment.

Solar seemed like the answer, but it was too expensive and complex for most people. So what did we do? We set out to reinvent the way millions of people power their lives by removing the high cost and complexity of going solar. Our systems are simple, inexpensive and low risk. Further more, our products are incredibly lightweight, low noise and aesthetically appealing and have international quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Should be a quick learner on the products, market size and share, strategy, geography and competitors activities. Should be able to develop growth strategy and implement it effectively to secure business
  • Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
  • Familiarity with multimedia and creating marketing brochures, and other material
  • Co-ordinate with agencies, distributor and sales team for marketing PAN India
  • Co-ordinate product launch activities and Event Management (organizing conferences, exhibitions, making presentation)
  • Manage company portal and retail portals (Amazon, eBay)
  • Prepare and circulate Analysis Reports
  • Handle basic HR and Admin activities (recruitment, attendance, maintenance)
  • Assist CMD with marketing, administrative and other activities

Requirements

  • Education: Any graduate degree, MBA preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Experience with internet research and marketing of solar products would be a plus
  • Excellent communication skills. Should be fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and other multimedia software
  • Should be with a go getter attitude and be able to work independently
  • Preferably a female candidate

Functional Area Finance and Accounting

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day accounting and maintaining book i.e. invoice processing, bills passing and processing; Monitor the AR, AP and Inventories
  • Establishing new processes to be efficient and compliant with all laws
  • Monitoring, verifying and processing Salaries
  • Responsible for all taxes compliance and returns
  • Responsible for Fixed Assets accounting, updating register and records
  • Assist in Annual Statutory Audits and any other Audits that may happen from time to time
  • Preparation of monthly reports, identify wastages, lead and lag indicators which have to be highlighted to the management regularly
  • Handle bank administration, funds transfers and other dealings
  • Assist Finance Director with other accounting and finance activities

Requirements

  • Any graduate degree, B.Com/ BBM/ MBA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting standards a must
  • Working knowledge of various taxes and company act preferred
  • Experience in statutory and internal audits
  • Good communication skills. Should be fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, experience in accounting software a plus
  • Bike travel in the city is required- Liaisoning with Bank, Tax, Legal, Company Secretary and other Departments

  • Maintaining important documents, records, and files in a organized manner

Requirements

  • Education: Any graduate degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good computer skills with MS Office
  • Call centre (customer service) experience with a multi national would be a big plus

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building a Pan-India distributor and retail network
  • Preparing and completing sales action plan by taking input from management
  • Provide sales training to distributors and provide them with marketing material
  • Identifying and generating sales opportunities by constantly pursuing all leads
  • Achieving monthly sales targets by keeping track of day to day sales and reporting
  • Is a one stop window for the customer, resolving all types of queries and owning customer satisfaction metric for new distributors/ customers (upto 3 months)
  • Coordinating with the Installation team and the Logistics team to ensure smooth and timely delivery of the product
  • Responsible for receivables on their sales
  • Handles all major government and private projects with a sense of urgency; tender order, technical clarifications and other data

Requirements

  • Education: Any graduate degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Good computer skills with MS Office
  • Sales experience (solar/ electronics) with a big brand would be a big plus
  • Should be fluent in English, Telugu and Hindi;
  • Good communicative and interpersonal skills are essential with smart, friendly and polite demeanour; Confident and excellent at forming relationships with clients
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic. Ability to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines is essential and you also need to able to work in a methodical and organised manner
  • Travel is required to meet distributors and retailers
